創作於我如同對生活進行有意識的選取、和寫生。我透過自由書寫與重複勞動獲得釋放﹐在現實與創作中同步調整、學習如何與焦慮共處。
亦在平面繪畫的基礎上﹐尋找能夠更貼近、更準確紀錄現象與傳遞創作理念的材料。藉由對日常物品的觀察與想像﹐嘗試利用材料本身的意義與魅力進行創作。個人創作中描繪了現實之下﹐時而自然膨脹、時而被重塑的人們﹐在感性放縱與理智框架之間拉扯﹐來回於抵抗與接受之間﹐自然地接受這份無能為力﹐最終趨向一個固定的狀態。

The creative process for Kuo Shu-Yu is a method of conscious selection of everyday activities. Through the process of free writing and repetitive tasks, she learns to cope with anxiety and adjust to reality. On the basis of visual art, Shu-Yu studies objects that can best express the phenomena in her mind. By observing and re-imagining objects, she attempted to utilize its inherent meaning and charms in her art.
